Please arrive at the boat ramp at the Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour. Ask for Captain Gerald. Please note that he may be finishing a previous tour and may not be at the location upon arrival, but will be there at your tour time. You will be provided with ear protection. Airboat safety rules will be reviewed prior to the tour.

If there is bad weather, Captain Gerald will contact the person who scheduled the tour. Tours will still run if the weather is mild rain, but you will be given the option to either keep your scheduled tour time or reschedule the tour.

Weather in Florida is fickle. It may be sunny and hot in the Everglades or it could be scattered showers. All guests are encouraged to bring eye protection and sunscreen. When afternoon showers are possible, it is suggested to bring a rain jacket, if needed. Water is provided; however, if you prefer another beverage, please bring it. If you are on a 2-hour or longer tour, you may want to bring a snack. Note: If you wear a hat, wear it at your own risk; hats may fly away in the wind… never to be seen again.
-
Summer: Wear light-weight clothing and sunglasses. Bring sun protection.
Winter: It gets chilly on the airboat ride, so wear long pants and bring a sweater or jacket.
-
We have several boats in our fleet. We can comfortably seat up to 7 people on the smaller boat, up to 8 people on the medium sized boat and up to 12 on the large boat. Please see each booking page for space availability.

There are no restrooms at the airboat launching site. However, a primitive restroom will become available halfway into the tour.
